SketchUp System Requirements

Like many computer applications, SketchUp requires certain hardware and software specifications in order to install and run. However, these are basic requirements, so you may want to use our recommendations for better performance.

Note: To use your SketchUp Pro license, you need an internet connection. For more details on connection requirements, read Understanding Your License.

Windows 10/ Windows 11

    • Mouse with 3 buttons and scroll wheel.

SketchUp's performance is highly dependent on your graphics card and its support for OpenGL 3.1 or higher. To check the compatibility of your graphics card, you can download and run the SketchUp checker app. We know that some users have had problems running SketchUp with Intel graphics cards. At this time, we do not recommend using these graphics cards with SketchUp.

  • Minimal Hardware
    • 1 GHz processor
    • 4 GB RAM
    • 500 MB of free disk space
